Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (softened)
  • 4-5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven and prep bread: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Carefully slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise and place both halves cut-side up on a large baking sheet.
  • Make garlic butter: In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup of softened butter, 4-5 minced garlic cloves, and 2 tbsp of chopped parsley. Mix everything until it is creamy and well combined.
  • Spread on bread: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread. Make sure you cover the entire surface, reaching all the way to the crusty edges.
  • Top with cheese: Sprinkle 1/2 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup cheddar, and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese over the buttered bread. Feel free to add a little extra if you love cheese!
  • Bake until golden: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. The bread is done when the cheese is bubbly and beautifully melted with golden-brown spots.

Notes

  • Using freshly shredded cheese will give you the best melt.
  • Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper for some heat.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Reheat in the oven to get that lovely crispy texture back.
  • Serve this warm right out of the oven for gooey perfection.
