  • 2, large sweet potatoes
  • 2, tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2, teaspoon salt
  • 1/4, teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika or garlic powder (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your grill: Get it to medium heat, about 350-450°F (175-230°C).
  • Prepare sweet potatoes: Wash them well. Cut into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  • Season the potatoes: In a bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Grill the sweet potatoes: Place round slices on the grill in a single layer.
  • Cook one side: Grill for 5-7 minutes, until you see nice grill marks.
  • Flip and finish: Turn them over. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until tender.
  • Serve immediately: Enjoy your delicious grilled sweet potatoes while they are warm.

Notes

  • Ensure sweet potato slices are of similar thickness for even cooking.
  • For a sweeter taste, brush with maple syrup in the last few minutes.
  • If using wooden skewers for cubes, soak them in water for 30 minutes.
  • Don’t overcrowd the grill; cook in batches if you need to.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
